...Do what you love.
This is my Blackberry Curve 8320.
Strobist info: One YN-460 Mark 2 at 1/4 power through softbox, high up and pointing down, at camera left, triggered using RF602 triggers. Reflectors on right.
Here is the setup for the shot:
As you can see, the mobile (rested against the 40D battery charger :P) is kept on a glass which, in turn, is kept on a black cloth. The strobe is fired through a softbox at an angle such that it is out of the 'family of angles' to avoid harsh reflections seen by the camera. The angle also gives a 3-D effect to the buttons and the rest of the body. The reflectors are added for fill. They are also placed in such a way that their reflection in the screen of the mobile are not seen by the camera . The softbox gives a diffused directional light and so there is no spill on the background. The f7.1 used is good enough to provide sufficient DOF. F7.1 and 1/250th kill the ambient light,if any, in the room. The combination of F7.1 and 1/4th power of the strobe gave the exposure for the mobile as required by me.
Hope you guys liked it!
